Vedic astrology (jyotisha) is a system carried forward from India. It looks at the same sky as Western astrology, but anchors to a different reference point — signs are matched to the actual fixed stars rather than the seasons, so the same person's Sun sign can shift by about one slot from the Western version. This isn't wrong — it's simply a different coordinate system.
This track has 25 chapters. You'll start with what sidereal means and the three anchor points (Lagna, Rashi, Nakshatra), then gather the nine navagraha planets and twelve bhava rooms as raw material. From there you'll read planetary strength through dignity, benefics/malefics, and drishti, and go deeper with yogas (combinations) and divisional charts (D9, D10). Last comes Vedic astrology's signature time system — dividing life's stretches with dasha, and reading the current flow through gochara and sadesati.
The ayanamsha used is Lahiri. Each chapter opens with the concept, then lets you check it straight against your own chart once you've entered your birth date and time — no sign-up needed.
For reference and entertainment, based on traditional astrology.
