Vedic Chart-Reading Order — Putting It All Together

Stitch the pieces into one person in six steps.

This is finally the last one. How to read this: in what order to thread these together, so that the pieces you've learned so far become one person's story. Keeping the order matters — dive into details first and you'll lose your way.

Six steps to reading a Vedic chart — start from the big frame and narrow down to timing.

Start with ① Lagna. What your Lagna is and what house its ruler (the Lagna Lord) sits in and what condition it's in — this is where the big thread of your life takes shape. Then fill in your mind (Moon Rashi and Nakshatra) and your sense of self (the Sun) with ② Moon & Sun.

Next, scan ③ Planetary Condition. Check which planets are strong through exaltation or own sign, which are debilitated, and which are combust or retrograde. It's only at ④ Bhava Connections that the web starts to form — which planet sits in which house, which houses it rules, and whose drishti it receives.

With ⑤ Special Structures, layer in yogas, the Rahu-Ketu axis, and D9. Finally, at ⑥ Current Period, Dasha and Gochara answer "so what does that mean right now?" Keep to this order, and the pieces come together into one person without contradiction.
