Western Astrology in Depth

Western astrology maps the positions of the planets in the sky at the moment you were born, then reads that map. A magazine horoscope uses only the Sun; a real birth chart brings in ten planets, twelve houses, and the angles between them.

This track has 22 chapters. You'll start with each sign's element and quality and the Big Three (Sun, Moon, Rising), then gather the ten planets and twelve houses as raw material, and set the chart's skeletonwith the four angles, chart ruler, and house rulers. From there you'll read each planet's condition through dignity and retrogrades, and read the conversation between planets through aspects and patterns. Finally you'll layer time itself on top with transits, progressions, and returns, and learn the order for stitching every piece into one person.

Houses are calculated using the Placidus method. Each chapter opens with the concept, then lets you check it straight against your own chart once you've entered your birth date and time — no sign-up needed.
