Chart-Reading Order — Putting It All Together

From the big picture down to the details, stitch the pieces into one person.

This is finally the last chapter. How to read this: in what order you thread together, so that the pieces you've learned so far become one person's story. Charts are read from wide to narrow, big picture → details.

Six steps to reading a chart — starting from the overall mood, narrowing down to details and time.

Start with ① Overall mood. First grasp the person's big grain through the balance of elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water) and qualities, and hemispheres and quadrants. ② Central axis — set this person's core with the Big Three (Sun, Moon, Rising) and chart ruler.

Fill in how you think, love, and act day to day with ③ Personal planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars). ④ Center of power — find where energy gathers through emphasized houses and the dispositor, and pin down the tightest tension and natural talent through ⑤ Core angles and patterns. Finally, ⑥ Growth and time — read the direction to grow toward through the nodes, and the current flow through transits and progressions.

The key is the order. If you dig into details (one aspect, one house) first, you'll get lost. Only once you set up the big picture first and fill in details inside it do the pieces connect into one person without contradiction.
