When your chart's characters meet in a special shape, it's like saying "this person has this particular star lit up." So a sinsal isn't a big framework that flips your whole chart around — it's closer to a small label attached to each person's different personality and talent.

In the old days, sinsal were split roughly into two. A good star that helps you was called gilsin (吉神, auspicious gods), and a star to watch out for was called hyungsal (凶煞, inauspicious stars). That's why some names carry a good meaning like 'noble (貴人)' and others carry a strong meaning like 'star (煞).' But these days, most are read again as 'personality and talent.' not as a scary, fixed fate, but as a reference chart that says "you're born with this energy, so here's how it might be best put to use."

Let's unpack the stars above in easier terms. Peach Blossom (桃花煞) means charm and popularity that pull people in. It used to be read only as "romantic trouble," but these days it's often read as star quality and charm for standing in front of people, like an actor or a YouTuber. Traveling Horse (驛馬煞) is an energy that runs well when out and about and on the move rather than sitting still in one place. It goes well with travel, moving, working abroad, and active work.

Canopy (華蓋煞) is an artist's temperament that goes deep in a world of your own. It's a quietly-absorbing talent, so it suits creative work, research, or fields like religion and philosophy well. Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) is counted as one of the best stars among all the sinsal. It's read as luck where a noble helper appears for you when things get hard. Literary Star (文昌貴人) is a star where study and a way with words run strong, so it has a deep connection to exams and writing.

There are stronger-feeling stars too. Blade (羊刃煞) is a driving force and decisiveness. It's a drive that pushes forward hard once you make up your mind, but if it runs too strong, it's energy that needs pacing yourself, since it can turn impatient or collide too hard. Every sinsal has its own color like this, so simply knowing which stars are lit up in your chart helps a lot in understanding yourself.

Here's the most important thing. Sinsal aren't 'automatically good if you have it, bad if you don't.' Even the same star can become a talent or a burden depending on how you use it.
